Description

"'We don't make war toys, because war is the domain of the little penis,' says proud nutcase Leslie. Yet his militaristic uncle goes to war with Dad's wondrous toy factory, with radio-controlled unmanned fighter planes—now better known as drones—as the secret ultimate goal."

-VPRO Cinema

Robin Williams is the son of a major toy developer. When his father passes away, his uncle, a general and Vietnam veteran, takes over. This involves his intention to produce war toys, which does not sit well with the factory's loyal employees. They do whatever it takes to change the company's course. As the quote above shows, this film was released a few years before the first application of the MQ-1 Predator Drone. The painful irony is that this film, a critique of the military-industrial complex, may have contributed to the inspiration for drone warfare.
